Field Rentals

South Suburban Athletic fields are available for rent by filling in the form Request a Field below.  Park shelters are also available to rent.

2015 Athletic Field Rental dates:

  • Spring Feb 28 - May 10
  • Summer May 11 - Aug 9
  • Fall Aug 10 - Nov 8 
  • Grass fields are closed Nov 9- Spring 2016
  • David A. Lorenz synthetic turf fields are available for rent year-round.

For Field Rental Groups
Please note that organized team practices need to obtain a permit. Groups are responsible for any damage that may occur during their rental time. A Certificate of Insurance is required from Youth Sport Groups, special events, tournaments & camp renters. Individuals seeking a permit do not need a certificate of insurance.

For Vendors and Concessionaires
Click on the appropriate link to access the required vendor permit(s) for each individual city. All vendors seeking a concessionaire`s permit need to email Michelle Helm at MichelleK@ssprd.org to process the request.

Field Usage Rates

Softball Fields:

Softball field rates are split between large fields with lights and smaller fields without lights

Main Softball Fields: (Sheridan High School, Sheridan Middle School, deKoevend, Bowles, Cornerstone 1, 2, 3)
Per Hour – 2 hour minimum – full hour increments
  Without Lights Fee With Lights Fee
Resident: $25.00 per hour $40.00 per hour
Non-Resident: $44.00 per hour $58.00 per hour
Field Set Up Costs:
(in addition to rental fees)
  • Lining and dragging $30.00 per application
  • Lining only $20.00 per application
  • Base rental (if available) $10.00
  • South Suburban sets up bases
Small Softball Fields: (Cherry Knolls, Harlow, Willow Creek etc.)
Per Hour – 2 hour minimum – full hour increments - NON-PROFIT ONLY
  Without Lights Fee With Lights Fee
Resident: $14.00 per hour N/A
Non-Resident: $22.00 per hour N/A
Field Set Up Costs:

  • Lining and dragging $30.00 per application

  • User has to pick bases up and return them to South Suburban

David A. Lorenz Regional Park:

Synthetic turf fields – 4 multipurpose, 1 Baseball/Softball

Baseball Field & Multi-Purpose Field Rates
Per Hour – 2 hour minimum – full hour increments

Non-Resident: $60.00 per hour
Baseball Field Set Up Costs:

  • Lining and Dragging $30 per application
  • Lining only $20 per application
  • Base rental (if available) $10
*The multi-purpose fields have soccer goals and lacrosse goals that will be available for use at no charge. Groups need to provide their own lacrosse nets. (For-Profit groups rate is double the above field rental fees)
