Monday

Hit a bucket of balls
Just because it's fall, it doesn't mean you have to hang up your clubs just yet. Getting the drop on your buddies and keep your swing in perfect form during lunch or before or after work.
Who: All ages
When: 7 am - 9 pm

Tuesday

Affordable blood screenings
University Hospital professional staff will be performing low-cost screenings for cholesterol and more than thirty other blood components. No appointments are needed. Can't make Tuesday? We'll be hosting screenings at several of our locations throughout the week.
Who: 18 and up, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian
When: 7 - 9:30 am
WhereLone Tree Recreation Center
Price: $40 for traditional screening, additional fees for additional testing

Community drum circle
Join people of all levels of musical expertise to share your rhythmical spirit in an oasis of beauty! No drumming expertise is necessary and all ages and abilities are welcome to attend this family-friendly event. This guided session will include basic and traditional rhythms, guided imagery, and freestyle.
Who: All ages
When: 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm

Wednesday

Boot camp fitness
Push yourself to the limit in this challenging drop-in fitness class that incorporates drills designed to improved strength, power, and speed while burning major calories.
Who: 18 and up
When: 5:15- 6:15 am (Lone Tree); 9:15 - 10:10 am; 5 - 5:55 pm (Goodson) 
Where: Lone Tree and Goodson recreation centers
Price: Free with admission ($5.75 Resident; $7.75 Nonresident)

Dementia whisperer
Caring for a loved one with dementia can be tough. Learn from Laura Wayman, world-reknowned "Dementia Whisperer," as she shares ways to improve communication through affirmative response and empowerment, which can transform the caregiving process into a fulfilling journey.

When: 1- 2:30 pm; 6 - 7:30 pm

Thursday

Explore Little's Creek Park
Explore and play in this quaint park with a pirateship playground, a pond, and new public art sculpture, 'Plash. Bring a snack or lunch and take advantage of the beautiful weather we've been having this October.

Friday, Oct 23

Spooktacular
Our annual safe "trick or treat" family experience at Goodson. This year's event will feature the Little Monster's Mansion, a haunted house, cookie walk, arts & crafts, face painting, Trick or Treat Street, and carnival games. Sponsored by the City of Centennial.
Who: 11 and younger
Where: Goodson Recreation Center
When: 5:30 - 8 pm
Price: $4 until 7 pm Wed, Oct 21; $6 beginning Oct 22 and at the door; free for 1 year and younger

Haunted Hay Rides
Listen to a spooky tale while you rumble down a trail inhabited by ancient Indians and cowboys for family Halloween fun. Enjoy food concessions and a petting zoo inside the barn before or after your ride.

Hoofin’ It Through the Hollows 5K Run/Walk
Bring the entire family out for this family and dog friendly 5K Run/Walk Halloween celebration. Dress in your Halloween best for a chance to win various costume contests.  Stay after for the s'more campfire roasting provided by Whole Foods SouthGlenn and beer garden for 21 and up.

Haunted Trail: Legend of Bell Witch
They say the Bell Witch haunts rivers and torments families over lost land and love. Do you have the courage to walk her dark banks and forest? Refreshments and a warm fire wait for you at the end - if you make it!  This hour-long experience includes storytelling and a hayride through a haunted forest.

Avs Practice
Watch the Colorado Avalanche practice in preparation for the their next game in Florida on Tueday, Oct 25, against the Panthers. Bring the entire family, and maybe even get a few signatures.
