Big Dry Creek Trail/Channel and East Easter Avenue Crosswalk Improvements
Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority is proposing to remove the pedestrian and bicycle underpass at E. Easter Avenue where the Big Dry Creek Trail passes under the road.
The purpose of removing the trail is to increase the capacity of the creek in the underpass, which will remove several homes from the 100-year floodplain. An improved on-street pedestrian and bicycle crossing will be installed with a crosswalk and signs. South Suburban Parks and Recreation is gathering input from residents on the impacts to their trail use if the underpass is removed.
Public Open House
All residents are invited to an upcoming public open house to learn about proposed changes to the Big Dry Creek trail and the creek channel.
