July 2018 Temporary Art Exhibits

Each month, the South Suburban Public Art Committee selects local artists to display their work at District recreation centers and selects one artist quarterly for an exhibit at the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel. Art displays at these facilities are intended to support and promote South Suburban's mission to enrich the lives of all its residents and encourage a legacy of art to be enjoyed and appreciated.
Name: Madison McKeown
Collection: Students from an Arapahoe Community College photography class visited Bristol, Cardiff, Bath and London in May 2017 and documented the history, culture, people and modern architecture of England.

Name: Arturo Garcia
Collection: Arturo calls his colorful display of oil paintings TATANKA: The Spirit of the Land, an exhibit about the life of the American bison, its habitat, history and culture. Read more about it on Arturo’s website.

Residence: Colorado Springs
Medium: Pastels and oils
Collection: Pat’s exhibit of pastels depicts iconic Colorado places such as Coors Field, Hanging Lake and the Blue River in Silverthorne. The two small oils on display are of Raku pottery and home grown salad fixings.
