Palos Verde Internal Trail leading into the Palos Verde Tot Lot has reopened. A new opening has been created in the fence to help navigate around icy conditions.

Please be aware that most of the District’s crusher fine trails have ice on them, therefore, please use caution on the trails.

Public Input Meeting for Murray, Oxbow Point and Lee Gulch Overlook Open Space Properties

You are invited to a Public Meeting to provide input on future improvements to the Murray, Oxbow Point and Lee Gulch Overlook Open Space Properties. Neighborhood Meeting for the deKoevend Park Master Plan Revision

A Neighborhood Meeting will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday March 12, 2012 at the Goodson Recreation Center located at 6315 South University Bld. 80121 to present the proposed changes to the deKoevend Park Improvements Map. The proposed changes include the removal of the vault toilet next to the playground, a new flush restroom and a new shelter. Please click on the following link for a location map of the improvements. New Location for Proposed Sculpture

The South Suburban Public Art Committee (SSPAC) withdrew a proposal to place the sculpture, Collective-Nest, by Josh Wiener, in Willow Creek Park. Willow Creek residents have expressed interest for a different piece of art to be installed in the park; however, there is no funding available in 2012 for a different sculpture. The SSPAC, a group of citizen volunteers with a background in the arts and appointed by the Board of Directors, will recommend another park or facility for Collective-Nest to be located. Proposed Trail Improvements for Willow Spring Open Space/Willow Creek Trail

Residents are invited to provide input on Proposed Trail Improvements in the Willow Spring Open Space and on the Willow Creek Trail. A public input meeting will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the South Suburban Administration Office located at 6631 S. University Blvd. Centennial, CO 80121. Big Dry Creek Pedestrian Bridge at the Murray Property

Project description: Installation of a new pedestrian bridge to connect the Murray open space property to the Big Dry Creek Trail. The bridge will be located between S. Santa Fe Drive and the Mary Carter Greenway on Big Dry Creek.

David A. Lorenz Regional Park Field Improvements

Project description: Installation of a new synthetic turf multi-purpose field and repairs to existing multi-purpose synthetic turf fields at David A. Lorenz Regional Park.

South Suburban Par 3 Golf Course Pedestrian Bridges
