Two SSPRD employees received awards in January. South Suburban’s Esports Coordinator, Chris Curtis, was honored in NRPA’s 30 Under 30 for 2021, and Michele Amidon, Community Relations Specialist for South Suburban, was awarded the 2021 Women’s Ice Hockey Founders Award.

Chris Curtis has grown our esports program from the ground up and continues to improve and expand  the program and its impact on the community.  The 2021 30 Under 30 award was the first ever recognition program from NRPA’s’ Young Professional Network and Parks & Recreation magazine to highlight top parks and rec professionals in their community.
