The South Suburban Board of Directors is comprised of five District residents, elected by you, who help guide the direction of parks and recreation in our community.

Meet the Board of Directors

Pam Eller - Chair
Pam Eller
Term through May 2027
Pam Eller

Pam Eller resides in Columbine Valley and has been a South Suburban resident since 1986.

Personally, Eller participates in a wide variety of recreation activities, including the Ladies 18 Hole Golf Club at Littleton Golf and Tennis, biking along the Mary Carter Greenway, and working out at the Buck Recreation Center. She also spends time with her family at the cabin they built in the Flat Tops Wilderness Area.

As a board member, Eller looks to create the best park and recreation experiences for residents of all ages and abilities. She values the strategic mission of the District, working together with staff to create the Master and Strategic Plan, as well as the five-year Capital Improvement Plan.

Keith Gardner - Vice Chair

Keith Gardner

Keith Gardner resides in Centennial and has been a South Suburban resident since 1999.

Personally, Gardner enjoys runs and walks along the High Line Canal several times a week through deKoevend Park and Cherry Knolls Park, and biking along the Mary Carter Greenway Trail. Over the years, his children have participated in South Suburban programs including camps, flag football, baseball, and basketball.

As a board member, Gardner is passionate about serving the community and improving parks, trails, the services we provide and our recreational facilities, while making sure they are accessible, well-maintained, and inclusive for all. He continues to promote sustainable practices in park management and outdoor spaces for current and future generations.

Ken Lucas - Treasurer

Ken Lucas

Ken Lucas resides in Centennial and has been a South Suburban resident since 2003, and a Foxridge resident since 1983.

Personally, Lucas is an avid golfer who belongs to the Senior Men’s Golf Club at South Suburban Golf Course. He also enjoys South Suburban’s trails on daily walks with his dog.

As a board member, Lucas prioritizes fiscal responsibility as South Suburban continues to expand and grow. He works to provide residents with premier services and a variety of amenities, from new regional parks and athletic fields to golf clubhouses and pickleball facilities.

Luke Lorenz - Secretary

Luke Lorenz

Luke Lorenz resides in Centennial and has been a South Suburban resident since 1980.

Personally, Lorenz is a frequent user of the recreation centers, pools and the Sports Complex, and has also coached his children in South Suburban’s youth sports programs for several years. His father also served the District for 48 years, including 30 years as the executive director.

As a board member, Lorenz believes in a culture of shared ownership, where every employee feels empowered to uphold and enhance the District’s standards. He values upholding the highest standards of programs, parks, and facilities, with a focus on customer service, safety and a “small-town” feel.

Elizabeth Watson - Asst. Secretary/Treasurer

Elizabeth Watson

Elizabeth Watson resides in Littleton and has been a South Suburban resident since 2004.

Personally, Watson enjoys several sports at the recreational level, including tennis, volleyball, and pickleball. She has taken numerous classes at Goodson Recreation Center and regularly meets friends to walk the trails in the community.

As a board member, Watson is focused on transparency, specifically as it relates to improving existing amenities and services for the community. She is also a member of the Arapahoe County Cultural Council.
