Goodson is everything you're looking for in a local recreation center - and so much more. Swim, run, bike, lift, hit the courts, take a class, explore your creativity, hone your skills or discover new ones. You can do it all.

And when you're ready for an outdoor adventure, the High Line Canal Trail and deKoevend Park are a few steps away.

Admission

Daily admission and passes include use of pool, gym, weight room, cardio and circuit equipment, racquetball courts, track, and drop-in fitness classes. Specialty programs and services (e.g. martial arts, personal training, dance classes and swim lessons) are available for an additional fee.

All guests must pay a daily admission for general facility use, spectating is not permitted for general facility use, only registration based programs and classes.
To receive Resident rates, you must have a valid South Suburban Resident account.
Household pricing consists of a maximum two adults and three children up to the ages of 17 living at home.  Additional child options are available for additional fees.

*Charges for monthly passes are billed on the first day of each month and require a valid card on file. The cost of a monthly pass will be prorated for days remaining in the month the pass is purchased. Passholders must hold the monthly pass for a minimum of two months before it can be canceled. This two-month period begins on the day the pass was purchased.

pass cancellation request form may be submitted at any time during the month (prior to the next recurring payment date). After submitting a cancellation request, passholders will have access to the center and amenities for the remainder of the month.

Pass cancellations may not be submitted two or more months in advance.

**Annual passes may be paid in full or auto-debited over the course of 3 consecutive monthly payments.

***Punch Passes expire 3 years after the date of purchase.

Aquatics area

Whether you want to swim laps, take an aquatics class, or take a break from the stresses of life, Goodson is the place for you. The indoor pool area features:

  • 25-meter lap lanes (6)
  • Hot tubs (2)
  • Wading pool-for children 5 yrs and under
  • Whirlpools (2)

Children 5 and under must be accompanied by a guardian (age 16+) in the water at all times.
Children 6-9 must be actively observed by a guardian (age 16+) unless they are a “non-swimmer” in which they need to be accompanied by a guardian in the water at all times.

Gymnastics

The Goodson Gymnastics Center is an 8,000+ square foot, top-of-the-line gymnastics facility with equipment for the youngest of tumblers to the most advanced competitors.

Child care / Day camps / Special programs

Arts/Enrichment/Dance

Explore and grow in a variety of Arts, Enrichment and Dance classes for youth and adults.  Choose from theatre, photography, STEM, crafts, pottery, music and more, current classes available here.  Dance programs include recreational dance classes, as well as the Academy of Dance which offers challenging, comprehensive dance training designed specifically for students age 3-16.  Youth receive quality studio instruction in a fun and engaging setting at a fraction of the cost of other studio classes.

Aquatics offerings include swim lessons, swim teams, birthday parties, American Red Cross Classes and more. Check out all offerings here.

Day camps

No school? No worries! We offer a variety of specialty camps and full-day camps during summer, fall, winter and spring breaks and during most holidays and in-service days.

Fitness and Personal Training

Choose from a variety of specialty fitness classes such as small group weight training, Tai Chi, Pilates Reformer and more. Personal trainers are also available for hire.

Gymnastics

Various levels of gymnastics programs are offered from parent-tot to advanced levels, including a CARA Competitive team.  Also check out birthday parties, school break camps, private lessons and drop in gymnastics.  More information available here.

Preschool

Bring your child to explore, learn and grow in our state licensed preschool offering pre-kindergarten and preschool aged classes. Emphasis on socialization, verbal and listening skills, math, reading, and physical development. 

Sports and Martial Arts

Sports include Pickleball, Basketball, Volleyball, Martial Arts and more.  Instructional classes/clinics are available in addition to youth and adult sports leagues.  Check out more information here.
