Youth Lacrosse

Whether you’re looking to learn the game or are a seasoned player, South Suburban is the place to play the fastest sport on two feet. Hone your skills in our camps and clinics and compete in our leagues and tournaments. And enjoy playing the sport you love.

Summer Leagues

Season includes 6 games, reversible jerseys and officials. Players of all playing abilities are welcome. Must have own equipment. South Suburban will be offering Recreational Divisions (New Players and Blue Level Teams) and Comp Divisions (White and Red Level Teams) for all age groups.  Players can sign up as a free agent player or as team.  

Divisions (Based on your Current Grade in 2018/2019 School Year)

Boys: K/1st, 2nd/3rd, 4th/5th, 6th/7th, 8th-11th
Girls:  K/1st, 2nd/3rd, 4th/5th, 6th/7th 8th-11th

Important dates


April 15: Registration Opens
May 24:
 Last Day of Registration
June 3: Practices begin
June 10: Games begin
July 4-5:  No Games
July 22-26:  Last week of season.  

Practice

Practice location, time, and day  will be determined by our Volunteer Coaches.  Teams will practice once a week for an hour.  Practices are usually held Monday through Friday 5 - 8 pm.  All practices will be held within the South Suburban District.

Games may be as early as 5:30 pm. League nights are subject to change.

How to become a Volunteer Coach

  1. Fill out coaching application during registration on teamsideline
  2. Complete Concussion Awareness Training (choose one)
  3. Submit application and Concussion Awareness Training certificate to the Athletics Office by:

Registration

Begins: Monday, April 15
Ends: Friday, July 24
Price: Youth $98 ($78 District),
           High School(Boys 8th/9th/10th and Girls Open): $98 ($78 District)

Players must have FULL equipment in order to participate.

Camps and clinics

Summer Lacrosse Camps

Summer lacrosse camps are for beginner to intermediate players. The camps will introduce new skills, teach basic rules, refine techniques, and offer some game play. Separate sessions are offered for boys and girls, ages 6-14. Players must have FULL equipment to participate. No age exceptions, no High School players.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
Boys: lacrosse stick, shoulder pads, arm pads, mouthpieces, helmets, 4 pt. chin straps, safety stickers and gloves. Highly Recommended: athletic cup

Girls: lacrosse stick, mouthguard and goggles.
