Lead Ranger Ryan
Ryan is a full time ranger. Originally from Chicago, Ryan grew up in Evergreen, Colorado where he developed a passion for fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. Ryan has experience as a park ranger and animal control officer for the city of Aurora and was a seasonal park ranger with South Suburban at Rueter Hess Reservoir in summer of 2021. Ryan loves to share his knowledge of parks, natural resources, fishing, and wildlife with all who visit the parks, and makes the best venison jerky this side of the Continental Divide.
Lead Ranger Sam
Sam is a full time ranger. He has had experience working as a Park Ranger for the National Park Service; City of Colorado Springs; Columbia, South Carolina; and now here at South Suburban. He enjoys recreating in the outdoors any way he can, from reading in a camp chair, to climbing rocks in the mountains. He can be found in the parks in his off-time walking his dog, Frankie; or riding bikes with his partner.
Senior Ranger Maddie
Ranger Maddie is a full time ranger. She grew up in the heart of the South Suburban district in Littleton, Colorado. Maddie has experience as a Park Ranger in the Denver Mountain Parks and the City of Lakewood. She is a certified interpretive guide. Maddie is an avid angler and can usually be found with a Diet Coke or iced coffee in hand.
Ranger Emily
Ranger Emily started as a seasonal ranger in 2022 and is now a full-time South Suburban Ranger. She has several years of loss prevention and seasonal ranger experience in Maryland at Fort Frederick State Park. She is a Certified Interpretive Guide and a First Aid/CPR instructor through the American Red Cross. On her days off she can be found kayaking, reading an obscene amount of books, spending time at baseball games with her husband, or in line at a Dutch Bros.
Ranger Ron
Ranger Ron has 15 years of experience as a Park Ranger with the City of Lakewood. Ron enjoys being a ranger because he loves helping the people and animals. One of the coolest things he has seen on the job was a mountain lion! In his off time Ron enjoys spending time with his family.
Ranger Roseann
Ranger Roseann started as a seasonal ranger in 2023 and is now a full-time South Suburban Ranger. She is a certified interpretive guide and enjoys learning and educating visitors about nature and wildlife. She has an appreciation for South Suburban parks and trails and feels fortunate to be working where she spends her free time walking and biking.
