Dig out your fishing poles and gather your family for a morning of fun. The Annual Fishing Derby sponsored by the Littleton Kiwanis Club, and held in cooperation with South Suburban Parks and Recreation, will be held on Saturday, June 7 from 9 am-12 pm at Sterne Park, 5800 S. Spotswood in Littleton.
Children ages 15 and under are welcome to participate in this free event. Come dressed as Becky Thatcher or Huck Finn and enter a costume contest that begins at 10 am or partake in a casting contest that begins at 10:30 am. Enjoy free refreshments while fishing the lake which has been stocked with trout for this special event. All participants need to bring their own fishing pole and bait.
