Update on Disc Golf Course Relocation

South Suburban is building a regional recreation complex at the former site of the disc golf course at David. A. Lorenz Regional Park. Construction of the new facility began in mid-April 2019. For this reason, the disc golf course and adjacent RC Track permanently closed on April 15, 2019. See below for an update on plans to relocate the disc golf course.

Update on Disc Golf Course Partnership

On October 10, 2018, South Suburban Parks and Recreation Board of Directors directed staff to partner with Highlands Ranch Metro District to construct an 18-hole disc golf course at the West Fork Open Space in Highlands Ranch. West Fork Open Space is located west of South Broadway between Plaza Drive and Highlands Ranch Parkway.

The Douglas County Planning Commission officially approved the West Fork Disc Golf Course on December 2, 2019. Highlands Ranch Metro District will lead the design and construction of the new course, which will tentatively open in May 2020.

South Suburban is excited about this partnership with Highlands Ranch Metro District to provide a quality 18-hole course in the south metro area. More information will be provided as it becomes available.  Learn more.
