South Suburban polling place change and absentee ballot information

Apr 06 2020

Due to the state of Colorado’s Public Health Order 20-24 mandating the closure of South Suburban Park and Recreation District’s (SSPRD) facilities, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the number of polling places for the May 5, 2020, election has changed.

Goodson Recreation Center, 6315 South University Boulevard, Centennial, Colo., will be the only polling place for the South Suburban Park and Recreation District regular election.

In the continued effort to promote social distancing, SSPRD strongly recommends voters apply for an absentee ballot before the April 28, 2020 deadline.

South Suburban will begin mailing absentee ballots to those voters on the permanent absentee voter list the week of April 6, 2020.  Currently, the only absentee ballot box drop location will be the box located outside of Goodson Recreation Center, 6315 South University Boulevard, Centennial, CO, 80121. The drop box will be available 24/7, until 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters can also mail ballots to the DEO at the SSPRD Administration Offices, 6631 S. University, Centennial, CO 80121. Additional postage is required.

For questions or to request an Application for Absentee Ballot, contact Jennifer King, Designated Election Official at 303-483-7011 or email Elections@ssprd.org. Additional information is also available at ssprd.org/board-election.
