Community Tree Recycle Day
Oct. 4
Recycle your tree limbs, branches, firewood, logs, and dead shrubs at the Willow Spring Service Center on Oct. 5 from 8 am- 12:30 pm. Off-loading is self-service, and no commercial loads, U-Haul loads, leaves, grasses, pine needles, fence posts or root balls will be accepted. Children ages 4-9 are invited to take to the ice at the South Suburban Sports Complex for USA Hockey’s annual Try Hockey for Free Day. Aspiring players of all ability levels can attend to skate, play, and learn the basics of hockey in a fun and safe environment. No previous skating or hockey experience is required to participate, and South Suburban will supply your player with all necessary hockey equipment.
