In 2023, major improvements were identified for Cornerstone Park that would take place over several years. Last year, Phase I was completed that included construction to the northeast parking lots, accessible sidewalk connections, and landscaping. In 2025, the splash pad at Cornerstone Park was decommissioned due antiquated equipment, and it will remain closed for the foreseeable future. Design work is underway for Phase II park improvements to build a inclusive play place. Staff are in the process of gathering feedback and acquiring grants to make this vision a reality, while infrastructure plans are being created to potentially add a new splash pad to the playground.
