Preschool & Pre-K Programs at South Suburban

South Suburban's affordable preschool programs are designed specifically for you! Flexible schedules let you decide what works for your family: 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day options as mornings (9am-12pm) or full days (9am-3pm). Our Goodson and Lone Tree Recreation Centers serve as the perfect setting for your little one, with unique activities like indoor swimming, full-sized gym for indoor play, outdoor playgrounds, and a variety of special activities including visit from our friends at the Carson Nature Center! Our daily schedule allows plenty of room for language development, science experiments, arts and crafts, music, story time and social-emotional learning.

As a State-Licensed Program and a Proud Partner of Universal Preschool, all classrooms maintain a 1:8 (Teacher: Student) ratio, with a maximum of 15 per class.

Preschool and Pre-K Registration

Preschool and Pre-K Registration follows the traditional School Year approach with rolling registration through the year. All registrations are set up with payment plans for each month. To register please contact the Family Services Preschool Coordinator at 303.708.3518

2026 – 2027 School Year Information: Our registration for the 2026 – 2027 School Year is currently open! The 2026 – 2027 School Year will run September 8, 2026 – May 20, 2027. Goodson’s preschool program follows Littleton Public Schools calendar for breaks and holidays. Lone Tree’s preschool follows Douglas County Schools District calendar for breaks and holidays. Below are our monthly rates for ’25-’26 School year and Fall 2026: 

  • Mornings 2 Days (Tue/Thurs): $210(R) / $230(NR)
  • Mornings 3 Days (Mon/Wed/Fri): $280(R) / $300(NR)
  • Full Days - 2 Days (Tue/Thurs): $365(R) / $405(NR)
  • Full Days - 3 Days (Mon/Wed/Fri): $475(R) / $515(NR)

South Suburban’s Child Discovery Time Programs offer summer sessions, too! Summer registration starts in February for each month of the summer: June, July and August. Summer operating hours are Monday – Thursday from 9am-2pm.

Universal Pre-K at South Suburban

South Suburban’s Child Discovery Time is proud to be partnering with Colorado’s Universal Pre-K Program to make early education accessible and affordable to all families! UPK is available for children 4-years old, who will be entering Kindergarten the following year. Families are encouraged to apply for UPK services through the UPK Website (see link below). Families can then choose either the Goodson Child Discovery Time or Lone Tree Discovery Time Programs to enroll. Universal Pre-K will cover 10 or 15 hours of preschool and families will be responsible for covering the remaining 3 or 2 hours of childcare. UPK also offers 30 hours of funding with qualifying conditions.

Camps

Children ages 6 years – 12 years can register for our State-Licensed Day Camp Programs. Day Camps are offered at South Suburban Sports Complex, Goodson Rec Center, Buck Rec Center, Lone Tree Rec Center and Family Sports Center. Our State-Licensed Day Camps are offered during school breaks including Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break. Summer session will run the Tuesday after Memorial Day through the first or second week of August depending on location. Day Camps offered at the Recreation Center are week long enrollments while Sports Complex and Adventure Day Camp at Family Sports Center remain single day options. Participants can expect to have a packed schedule with field trips (summers only), on-site special activities (summers only), battle of the camps (summers only), ice skating, indoor swimming, group games, gym or turf time, visits to nearby parks, and STEAM activities!

Frequently Asked Questions

You are not required to pay for the entire semester. You will be charged automatically on the 1st of the month. We will take payment for the first month that your child is registered for as well as the annual registration. We will then enroll your family in a monthly payment plan.

Toilet Trained Requirement: The child must be able to tell the teacher they need to go to the bathroom, and be able to go to the bathroom (both urinating and bowel movements) on their own. This includes being able to remove clothing, sitting on the toilet, wiping themselves, putting clothing back on, flushing the toilet, and washing and drying their hands. A child must be aware of the need to use the toilet without reminders from the teachers (although, teachers do make requests of children at various times of the day). The child must not be in diapers or pull‐ups at all. They must be in regular underwear. Our staff is aware that accidents happen.

Our Child Discovery Time programs use three different prospectuses to help develop the whole child. Zoo-Phonics help children learn the alphabet, phonemic awareness, rhyming, pre-sound blending, and pre-writing skills. With Zoo-Phonics we are able to connect phonemic awareness to the alphabet with math, art, physical education, drama, music, nutrition, science, social studies and self-help skills. Our second part focuses on Social and Emotional Learning, or SEL for short. Research in SEL shows that when combined with education, SEL has a positive impact on outcomes including academic performance, healthy relationships, mental wellness and decision making. Our goal with SEL is to help develop self-aware, caring, inclusive, and responsible lifelong learners. The last part of our curriculum includes the Colorado Department of Education’s School Readiness Guide. The CDE school readiness assessments are research-based and are a great tool to help measure school readiness. Using the assessments, we are able to identify and provide additional support in areas of growth to ensure children who leave our pre-kindergarten classrooms are ready for Kindergarten!

Meet Our Staff

Victoria Cummins – Assistant Preschool Director at Lone Tree

Victoria has a passion for kids and creativity that is matched by few. Victoria graduated from Michigan Technological University and used her degree while working for Girl Scouts, where she was the Science and Nature Program Director. Additionally, Victoria has worked with the YMCA. Victoria has been the Lone Tree CDT Assistant Preschool Director since May 2021. Victoria has also earned her Director – Large Center Certification, which is a testament to her experience working with children. Victoria has focused on creating a fun, creative program that fosters a safe and healthy environment where children can thrive. With this central focus, Victoria has been successful in preparing dozens of students for Kindergarten and beyond. In her free time, Victoria loves to create all kinds of crafts!

Chely Sherret – Lead Teacher

Chely started volunteering for South Suburban’s Child Discovery Time program in October 2017, advanced to the Teachers Aid position, and is now a Lead Teacher. Chely has a passion for teaching and enjoys seeing all the children grow in both their education and social skills. She loves teaching language development and art! As Chely enters her sixth year with South Suburban, she is excited to see her students’ confidence, independence and problem-solving grow. Each week she looks forward to teaching new letters and sounds, and creating arts and crafts that fill her heart with joy. When Chely isn’t at work, she enjoys scrapbooking and junk journaling. Chely is a Colorado native along with her parents, four siblings, and her niece and nephew. Getting lost in a good book and walking the High Line canal with her sister are two of her favorite things.

Casey White – Family Services Manager

Originally from Texas, Casey moved to Colorado in 2022 to escape the Georgia heat. While in college at Texas State University, she worked at an overnight adaptive summer camp program igniting her love for child development, spirit time and s’mores. After completing her degrees in Child Development and Family Studies, she spent the summer at an overnight camp in New York, sealing the deal to pursue a career where she could continue supporting children and giving them a safe space to be their true selves. Casey’s background includes several nationally accredited camps, state-licensed camps and a non-profit all designed for serving children and their families. Casey joined the South Suburban Team in December 2022 as the Family Services Coordinator. During this time, she earned her Larger Center Director Certification and a Level 5 Early Childhood Professional Credential. After a year, Casey was promoted to Family Services Manager in December 2023. Her leadership, vision for the department’s growth and support for her teams all help ensure our program are everything they can be and more! During her free time, she enjoys reading, attending concerts, park visits with her two dogs, and running!

Aurelie Allibert – Teacher’s Aide

Aurelie has a diverse professional and educational background, all of which focuses on the development and needs of children. Aurelie has a B.S. in Physical and Sporting Activities - Sports Training Specialty, a B.S. Physical and Sporting Activities - Adapted Physical Activities and Health Specialty, and a Masters in Movement, Performance, Health, Engineering - Adapted Physical Activities and Health Specialty, all obtained from Université Joseph Fourier in her native France. After receiving her degrees, Aurelie worked as an Adapted Physical Activities Educator at the School Health Service of Grenoble. Aurelie then worked as an Assistant/Co-Lead teacher in Brooklyn, New York, at Smith Street Maternelle and Rivendell School. Aurelie also works with South Suburban’s STAR program, which is designed for individuals with disabilities and provides a variety of activities and programs to meet every interest. Outside of work, Aurelie like to garden, hike, and spend time with her husband and son!

Jordan Jerome – Family Services Day Camp Coordinator

Originally from Michigan, Jordan grew up adventuring around the Upper Peninsula and exploring the sandy shores of Lake Michigan. For college, Jordan headed south to the Appalachian Mountains and found her place in Boone, NC at Appalachian State University. At App State, she studied Recreation Management with an emphasis in Outdoor Education and minored in Child Development. Her professional background revolves around outdoor education, recreation, childcare, and customer service. Jordan worked in many different camp settings including day camps and adventure trip-based camps. One of Jordan’s favorite experiences include leading high school freshman on a 7-day backpacking trip along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. In 2020, she moved to Colorado after visiting in 2019 and falling in love with the Rocky Mountains. In her free time, Jordan can be found hiking with her dog, Willow, on weekend camping trips, or browsing through one of Denver’s many thrift stores.

Jordan Dupuy – Family Services Day Camp Coordinator

Born and raised in the Golden State, Jordan moved to Denver just last year in July 2023. She graduated with a degree in Kinesiology, however worked at a summer camp between her sophomore and junior year that made her switch her gears and continue to follow her love of working with children. During the pandemic she worked as a Distant Learning Counselor, guiding and monitoring nine kindergarten and 1st graders through their online school and after school care, while also being a full time nanny. Once school was back in session, she combined her love of sports and children to work as an Elementary School PE teacher for two years. Jordan was hired as the Family Services Coordinator back in January 2024 and her enthusiastic attitude, ability to create relationships with her team, and passion to help children develop socially and emotionally have been a fabulous addition to the South Suburban team. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and crafting, going to sporting events, walking to coffee shops, and playing with her cat.

Alex Estes – Assistant Preschool Director at Goodson

Alex is a Colorado native who grew up in Littleton and the South Suburban community. He attended college at the University of Wyoming pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Alex’s passion for working with children began at age 19 when he began working at before and after school programs while attending college. Alex has been working with children in different roles and capacities ever since then. He began his teaching career at the preschool level, and after gaining his teaching license, he taught every grade Kinder-4th, as well as special education. Alex also spent several years as a before and after school care director, as well as a day camp director. He joined the South Suburban team in May of 2025 as the Summer Camp Director at the South Suburban Sports Complex. After the conclusion of summer camp, he joined the preschool team at Goodson Rec Center as the Assistant Preschool Director. He is very happy and excited to be back at the preschool level where his career began, and he looks forward to using his skills and experience to help grow and improve our programs. Alex has a dog named Woody who he loves to spend time with outside of work. He also loves art, sports, outdoors, and learning new things in his free time.
