As of 5/8/2023 Fishing Report

Eaglewatch Lake

  • Fishing in April has been slow for most visitors. Rainbow trout have been caught at deeper depths throughout the whole lake. The North side of the lake has had the highest number of rainbow trout caught. My most successful fisherman were using egg weights to get deep and using garlic moldable bait. The lake was stocked with ten inch trout on 5/1/2023.

Blackrock Lake

  • Some fisherman have reported luck with lures such as jerkbaits and soft plastics for bass.

Ladybug Pond

  • Largemouth bass have been caught using minnows and other types of natural bait. Any fisherman using aquatic bait must have the receipt from where they were purchased.

Redtail Lake

  • A few fly fisherman have attempted to catch the large carp that surface on the south end of the lake on the warm afternoon days. No actual reported catches yet.

South Platte River

  • The river has the best fishing reported recently. The South Platte has been running over 60 CFS the last few days. It was stocked with trout on 5/1/2023. Fisherman reported using a variety of flies and lures catching several trout daily. Focus near deep poles with rapids have been hot spots. Beware of boaters going down the river, and give them space when you see them.
