Each month, the South Suburban Public Art Committee selects local artists to display their work at various South Suburban recreation centers and selects one artist quarterly for an exhibit at Lone Tree Golf Course & Hotel. Art displays at these facilities are intended to support and promote South Suburban’s mission to enrich the lives of all its residents and encourage a legacy of art to be enjoyed and appreciated.
These temporary art exhibits are also a chance to showcase local artists. February’s artists on display are:

Collection: Matthew’s Different Strokes for Different Folks is a series of paintings and drawings that touch on many different themes ranging from realism to abstraction.

Name: Paint Box Guild – various artists
Collection: The Paint Box Guild artists' exhibit showcases various compositions and designs through the use of water colors, oils and acrylics.

Name: Susan Winn
Collection: Susan's “Capturing the Memory: Exploring the Colorado Rockies” mixes landscapes and macro photography to explore memories, curiosity and the beauty of the vast wilderness of the Rockies. Through her work she strives to inspire viewers to look more closely to see what we so often miss.

South Suburban’s Public Art Committee encourages all Colorado artists to submit an application to display their artwork on a temporary basis.
