Fairways Park gets upgrades and improved landscaping

Oct 09 2015

Whether it’s a walk in the park, taking a swing on the playground, or simply flying a kite, it’s all a little nicer, thanks to recent additions to South Suburban’s Fairways Park in Lone Tree.

A newly installed concrete trail provides increased safety and access to Fairways Park, and new shrub plantings and boulder retaining walls provide some curb appeal. A dedication of the Park’s remodel took place on Oct. 1, and Lone Tree Mayor Jim Gunning, Mayor Pro Tem Jackie Millet, Lone Tree City Council members and representatives from South Suburban Parks and Recreation and the Fairways HOA were there to celebrate.

The project was funded equally by the City of Lone Tree and South Suburban Parks and Recreation, with each contributing $40,000; and the Fairways HOA provided $5,000 toward the remodel.
