Public Art Committee seeks to fill opening

May 03 2018

Want to serve on a volunteer committee and have an interest or expertise in art? South Suburban Public Art Committee (SSPAC) invites you to serve as one of its nine at-large members. One SSPAC member is term-limited, and the committee is seeking a replacement by July.

South Suburban wants to encourage a legacy of art to be enjoyed and appreciated by its residents. The SSPAC recommends to the South Suburban Board of Directors the selection, placement and installation of art in public parks, along trails and in facilities. The committee also oversees selection of temporary gallery exhibitions in the recreation centers and at Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel.

SSPAC members must live within the District, and be able to serve a three-year term, beginning mid-summer. Currently, the committee meets from 8:30 -10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month.

Interested? Complete the application and tell us about yourself, including any relevant connection to the arts, and why you want to serve, by May 30. Mail or email Lynne Wachter, South Suburban Parks and Recreation, 6631 South University Blvd, Centennial 80121 or
