South Suburban Public Art Committee seeks applications for two positions

Apr 07 2020

Want to serve on a volunteer committee and have an interest or expertise in art? South Suburban Public Art Committee (SSPAC) invites you to serve as one of its at-large members.

South Suburban wants to encourage a legacy of art to be enjoyed and appreciated by its residents. The SSPAC recommends to the South Suburban Board of Directors the selection, placement and installation of temporary and permanent art in public parks, along trails and in facilities. The committee also recommends selection of temporary gallery exhibitions in the recreation centers.

SSPAC members must live within the District, and be able to serve a three-year term, beginning July, 2020. Members must commit to participating in monthly meetings that occur at 8:30 - 10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  Future meetings may occur in person or through audio/video conferencing if warranted.

Interested? Complete the application and tell us about yourself, including any relevant connection to the arts and to South Suburban, and why you want to serve, by May 22, 2020.  Email completed applications to mbraaten@ssprd.org.  Questions?  303-483-7003.
