South Suburban Hosts PWHL Practices and Fan Events

Jan 21 2026

The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) is bringing the 2025-26 PWHL Takeover Tour™ to Ball Arena in Denver on Sunday, Jan. 25, and South Suburban is joining the excitement with a weekend packed full of PWHL hockey at Family Sports Center.

On Jan. 24, fans can attend open practices and autograph signings with the PWHL pros. Plus, South Suburban is offering discounted tickets to see the Seattle Torrent take on the Vancouver Goldeneyes on Jan. 25, a game that will feature 14 players who will represent their countries in the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

After record-breaking crowds during the 2024-25 Takeover Tour, including more than 14,000 fans last January in Denver, the PWHL returns to build momentum for the league in cities without home teams. The PWHL’s newest expansion teams, Seattle and Vancouver, will face off in Denver on Jan. 25 at Ball Arena.

Before puck drop, hockey enthusiasts and new fans alike can get up close with the athletes at Family Sports Center. See below for the full weekend schedule and ticket information.

Saturday, Jan. 24 at Family Sports Center
10:30 am to 12:10 pm: Seattle Open Practice (followed by autographs)
1 to 2:40 pm: Vancouver Open Practice (followed by autographs)

Autograph sessions will be limited to the first 50 fans with wristbands to be issued 30 minutes before the commencement of each team practice.

Sunday, Jan. 25 at Ball Arena
