South Suburban to hold regular district election

Jan 09 2020

South Suburban Park and Recreation District Board of Directors has called for a regular district election to fill two director positions. The Tuesday, May 5, 2020 election will be a polling place election. Both elected board positions will each serve a three-year term, due to the state-mandated switch to odd-year elections in 2023.

Current board members include Scott LaBrash, Jim Taylor, Susan Pye, Pete Barrett and Dave Lawful. Director Scott LaBrash cannot run due to term limits. Jim Taylor has completed his first term.

All questions regarding the election, including how to run for office or how to obtain an absentee ballot can be directed to Designated Election Official, Jennifer King, at Elections@ssprd.org, or 303.483.7011. Stay up-to-date about the election at ssprd.org/board-election.
